Artisan Equine’s innovative horse treadmill, for sale online and in-store, offers numerous benefits for trainers and animals. You can incline the treadmill up to six degrees, with maximum speeds of 18km/h when trotting, 25km/h when cantering, and 48km/h when galloping. We’ve included five-layer deck cushioning to keep your animal comfortable and help alleviate joint concussions. You can also expect the following:
The wide front and rear ramps extend past the treadmill bay, with the option of funnel barriers and ramps to help guide horses onto the treadmill. This feature benefits foals, new-to-treadmill horses, and horses that spook easily.
Options for extended barriers on the front and rear sections of the walls protect the horse and the human. They help prevent a headbutt – for human safety – and pre-empt the horse from getting a leg over the side at the rear. Also, choose from chest and rump bars, chest and rump straps, and two different head collar strap styles.
You can choose durable reinforced rubber or clear UV-stable polycarbonate sides to watch the horse and gait from all angles. In addition, galloping and cantering racehorse treadmills have a side gate taking you directly from the belt to the full-length operator’s platform – no need to walk down the ramp. This feature is optional for trotting treadmills.
While your horse is running or walking, there’s no need to bolt this sturdy machine down as it offers a rigid cradle construction and a lack of vibration. The included roller and deck technology also keeps operation noise low. In addition, we’ve integrated the fan(s) with fan-compliant mesh within the gate for a neat and flush finish.

All our horse treadmills operate on three-phase power. However, we can run them in two-phase (pending property limitations), as doing so slightly reduces the max speed of the galloping treadmill. We’ve made provision to replace belts with a pre-made component rather than splicing a belt in situ, and cleaning is a cinch. You can lift the rear ramp with one hand, and the open deck construction under the treadmill has no cross beams that get in the way.
